8. Group Concerns: a.) JoAnn reported on this past Wednesday’s hike which went well. Next week the hikers will meet again @ 8:00 AM and will be going to Lower Sabino Canyon Trail. This is approximately 3 miles and has an elevation gain of about 100 ft. b.) Mike R. reminded us that this is Second Saturday in downtown Tucson. The Tucson Symphony will be performing Saturday at 7:00 and 8:00 pm at the Fox theatre – admission is free. This weekend is the International Glassblowers Festival.
c.) Dick J. reminded us that Apr.8th is the dance for the Marana Food Bank at Heritage Highlands. Oldies music will be featured. Admission is $35.00 for the dancing and the meal.
d.) Dick also has the SCRCR who’s Who albums for members. Val has done a beautiful job and will be updating the album whenever we have 5 new members.
e.) Dick also shared his and Sue’s experience at the Quartzsite Festival and recommends it to anyone who may be interested in the future.
f.) Jeanne suggested that the agenda not itemize each Thursday’s SCRCR meeting (it is in the heading content). The group was in agreement with this as it takes up too much space on the agenda sheet. Also suggested and agreed upon was that the agenda will only cover the next 6 weeks at a time.
9. Adjournment: Frank adjourned the meeting at 10:00 AM.
