Minutes of Meeting of March 21, 2013


                                                    Minutes of Meeting of March 21, 2013
1.       Call to Order:   Lou M.: The meeting was called to order at 9:31 AM with the Pledge of Allegiance.
2.        Host/Hostess:   Barbara L. and Elaine B.:
3.       Vice-President:  :  Dorothy:  We still have 82 members.
4.       Secretary: Joyce: 46 members attended today. SCRCR minutes of March 14 ,2013 were approved and accepted.
5.       Treasurer:  Carol: Treasury Total   $1600.00 .  There are still out-standing dues.
6.       Coordinators’ Reports:
a.       Refreshments: The coffee was paid for from the donation basket. Some members also enjoyed a special coffee or tea. If there is a pastry that you would like, let the staff know and they will order it.
b.      Sunshine:  Tressie S:
c.       Historian:  Magda: Reminded everyone that she is collecting can tabs and pictures for the memory book.
d.      Philanthropy:  Jim is continuing to cover for Betty.
e.       Busybody: JoAnn:  JoAnn explained the travel info to the new members.
7.       Activities   Alice B.  Please see the upcoming events in the agenda for changes and details.
8.        Group Concerns/Good of the Group:  Carol read a thank you note from the Indian School for the donation in memory of Mary Jensen. Val & Rich R. invited everyone to a BBQ at their house on April 23, 2013 at 5:00 PM. Joan T. invited the ladies to a “Night Out” at her house on April 12, 2013.

Minutes of Meeting of February 21, 2013
1. Call to Order: Lou M.: The meeting was called to order at 9:31 AM with the Pledge of Allegiance..
2. Host/Hostess: Barbara L. and Elaine B.: Dori and John Z. were guests and decided to join.
3. Vice-President: : Dorothy: We still have 82 members.
4. Secretary: Joyce: 33 members attended today. SCRCR minutes of Feb. 14 were approved and accepted as amended.
5. Treasurer: Carol: Treasury Total $1531.00 . there are still out-standing dues.
6. Coordinators’ Reports:
a. Refreshments: The coffee was paid for from the donation basket. Some members also enjoyed a special coffee or tea. If there is a pastry that you would like, let the staff know and they will order it.
b. Sunshine: Tressie S: Don V. has had surgery and is in rehab .Sandy P. had her back surgery and is recuperating. Don B. is home from the hospital, but still having more tests. Barbara H. is still on chemo. Baskets were delivered to Don B. and Sandy P.
c. Historian: Magda: Reminded everyone that she is collecting can tabs and pictures for the memory book.
d. Philanthropy: Jim is continuing to cover for Betty. Last week 140 lbs plus checks were delivered to the food bank. Keep the donations comming.
e. Busybody: JoAnn: JoAnn explained the travel info to the new members.
7. Activities Alice B. Please see the upcoming events in the agenda for changes and details.
8. Group Concerns/Good of the Group: The memorial for Mary J. will be held on Feb. 28. The monies collected will be sent to an Indian School at the family’s request. The February birthday celebrants gave a brief autobiography. A motion was made to change the by-laws to reflect that we may no longer need to comply to the 90% CR resident requirement. It will be postponed until our plans are more clearly defined.
