2.       Hostesses:  Barb L.  and Susan D.  Barb counted 36 in attendance today. Ray and Marce O. visited again today and have decided to join.  Welcome, welcome.  Bitsy M. is back after a short absence and Elaine H. is back as well.  We are very happy to see you all back.
3.       Vice President:  Debbi S.  Debbi says we are at 117 members or thereabouts.  We’ll know more after everyone has paid their dues.
4.       Secretary:   Kristi G.:  There was a motion to approve the minutes for February 8th meeting, the motion was seconded, and the minutes were approved.  Kristi was out today so Debbi took the minutes.
5.      Treasurer:  Walt R.:  Walt states we have $2,064.81     Please remember to put money in the pot for coffee “and”.  It’s $2.00 for a cup of coffee which includes all refills; $1.00 for sweets. Thanks much. Speaking of the coffee shortage FYI – For the year, Walt had to take $488.00 out of the treasury.  That’s $488.00 we could have used for a worthier cause, had we all put in our money.  Let’s try to do better this year ðŸ˜Š
PLEASE NOTE – DUES ARE DUE!!! -  It’s $2.00 a month or $24.00 for the year – not a bad deal folks for all this fun and great company!!!!   For those of you who would prefer to mail in your dues, Walt’s address is as follows:  Walt Ross, 8914 N. Veridian Drive, Tucson, AZ 85743. Dues are due end of Feb.

Bill shared a very funny joke from Craig.

Coordinators’ Reports:
·         Sunshine Dorie Z.:  Dorie was out so Mary M. filled in.  Suzi Benjamin is still recovering from surgery and is doing well.  She will be back once she has been cleared to drive.  Maria D. fell a few weeks ago and broke a vertebra.  PT is helping a lot.  Marie M. is having radiation treatments for melanoma and the pain is gone so she is doing better.  Gene is back in the hospital after back surgery on Weds.  They are adjusting is pain meds to be more effective and he should be home early next week.  Kate H. had her glaucoma surgery and will be going back for follow-up in March.  Joyce G’s mother passed this week, and poor Joyce will be moving again soon.  Please keep everyone in your prayers.
·         Historian:  Magda Q.:  No report
·         Philanthropy:  John Z.:  No report.
·         Activities:  Joyce G:   See activities listed below.  NOTE:  When you sign up for a luncheon or dinner, please let the people who are in charge of it know whether or not you can make the function.  It gets embarrassing when you say 40 people are going to show up and the place sets up for that and gets extra help for that and then only 25 or 30 show up. Please remember to RSVP if you are going to something and to let someone know if you can’t make it.
6.       Group Concerns/Good of the Group :  Magda reported on the Valentine’s Day lunch at Blue 32.  She told us the food and service were terrible.  Richard B. never did get served.  The group does not recommend this restaurant for future outings.  She also talked about Uber being a good alternative for Seniors who won’t drive at night or need transportation to appointments or errands. It is much cheaper that a taxi.  She and Armando took an Uber from home way over to Tanque Verde and it was only $12. Also, you are told you driver’s name and when it arrives, the driver confirms his/her name as well as your name as a safety precaution.  Good to consider.
7.       Thought for the Day:  Jim and Bill shared a couple of great jokes to send up off with a laugh.
8.       Adjournment:  Bill E.:  The meeting ended at 10:15 AM.
