7. Activities: Joyce G.: Please see the upcoming events in the agenda for details.
a.) AGAM lunch is at the Cattleman’s CafĂ©.
b.) For those going to the Queen Creek Olive Mill on Apr. 3rd, be sure that Joyce has your luncheon choice by this week. They need 5 days notice!
c.)There are 7 people signed up for the Gaslight Theatre and this is not sufficient to get the group discount. The decision was made to combine our group with Betty’s church group so the date for that performance will be announced – it is later in April.
d.) Jeanne announced that the HOA management gave us a signup sheet requesting volunteers for the Easter Egg Hunt. The sheet will be out again next week for signups.
e.) Last week the hikers went to Sabino Canyon. This week they will venture to Yetman Trail which starts at Gate’s Pass. It will be approximately 5 miles and is easy to moderate in difficulty. All total, the hikers have covered 100 miles since starting in October!
8. Group Concerns: a.) Jim had the booklet Landscape Plants of the Arizona Desert which he distributed.
b.) Edna gave us information on the memorial service for Richard L. which will take place next Thursday @ 11:00 AM. Please bring a potluck dish to supplement whatever will be provided by the family. Vi will take care of the program and Jim requests assistance in setting up after the SCRCR meeting. JoAnn will be taking care of the memorial plaque later today. We will have light refreshment before the meeting and then the potluck after the service.
c.) Alice B. commented on a question which her son recently asked her re the price of gasoline here. One month ago, in Denver, gas was $2.99. This month it is $3.79. This sparked a discussion on the outrageous price of gas across the country.
d.) Val announced that pictures will be taken for the Who’s Who Book after the meeting.
9. Adjournment: Jim: Adjourned the meeting at 10:15 AM.
