Minutes of Meeting for April 20, 201
- Call to Order: Bill E. led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Dorie led us in singing God Bless America. Bill then turned the meeting over to Barb and Susan. Bill then introduced all the birthday folks and the only one who was there was Rich R. So, there was more cake for all!
- Hostesses: Susan D. and Barb L. Barb counted 36 members in attendance today.
- Vice-President: Debbi S.: Debbi reports we still have a total of 112 members.
- Secretary: Kristi G.: The minutes for April 13, 2017 were approved. I’m still looking for volunteers to do the minutes while I’m on vacation. Please let me know if you are interested.
- Treasurer: Walt R.: Walt reports we have $2,550.92 in the bank. And the 501-C7 “re-up “is in process.
- Coordinators’ Reports:
a. Sunshine: Dorie Z.: Dorie reports that most everyone is doing well except unfortunately she contracted the “creepin crud” that’s been going around. She is feeling a bit better though thankfully. Joyce had some surgery this past Monday and she is doing nicely. Hope to see her back here soon. We miss you Joyce! Cheryl and Barc are well on the road to recovery; Richard R. had the pacemaker implant and is doing wonderfully well. Rich and Val are leaving right after this meeting and we won’t see them again until September so they will be missed. Take care you two and “happy trails”. They are going to do a lot of traveling for the summer. Larry’s hip replacement surgery is still scheduled for May 2. Again, let’s keep him in our prayers for a quick and pain free and problem free recovery!
b. Historian: Magda Q.: Thanked everyone for the pull tabs.
c. Philanthropy: John Z.: No report
d. Hiking: Jim A.: No report as the hiking is over until fall.
e. Activities: Pam M.: See activities list below.
7. Group Concerns/Good of the Group:
- Thought of the Day: Dorie gave us two lovely thoughts to think about at the end of the meeting.
- Adjournment: Bill E. The meeting ended at 9:55 AM.
