8. Good of the Group: (a) Papa Murphy’s are providing free samples of their pizza today. ….. (c) Eighteen went to Miss Saigon and had excellent meals. ….. (d) Joan T. read a memo from Nicole Glasner which advised us of a protest meeting tonight regarding the proposed erection of a sixty-one foot imitation palm tree tower next to the children’s playground at the Windmill Pool. In it was a plea for us to call the Mayor and/or other city representatives to voice our protests. Both the Architectural Committee and the Homeowners Association are against it. The meeting is at 7:00 pm tonight at Twin Peaks and Coachline. Another meeting is to be held in Marana at 7:00 pm on 2-June. KVOA (Channel 4) will be recording events. Jorge volunteered to drive people to the Marana one. Alice B. pointed out that the tower was for AT & T only – other cell phones cannot use it, so other towers may be requested. …. (e) To clarify past statements, Alice B. reiterated that Gaslight is on 1-Dec and the Christmas party is on 9—Dec.

9. Adjournment: 10:13 AM.

PS: Papa Murphy’s supplied pizza appetizers first, then came back later with samples of their take-and-bake pizza, along with drinks. All agreed that the pizzas were excellent. They left several coupons for members to take home. They are located beside Cold Stone in Fry’s plaza. They said that pizzas can be made up while you wait (about five minutes) or phone ahead; they also have great salads.
