7.      Group Concerns/Good of the Group:
·         Jim A. reminded us that Thanksgiving is coming and the Food Bank will be in even greater need of food and/or money.
·         I think we need to put a moratorium on the collection of all the bags for the animal shelter for now.  Joey L., who has been collecting these has been ill and not able to pick these up right now but I’ll let you know when she will be back as soon as I can get in touch with her.
·         I was asked to put in the minutes who is collecting what for whom as a reminder so here goes:  Magda Q. collects the metal tabs from cans for Ronald McDonald House; Sandy P. collects the Box Tops for schools from all kinds of packaged products; Julie S. collects the little bottles of shampoos, lotions, etc., that we all grab from the hotels/motels for the Woman’s shelter and she also collects the fronts only of greeting cards for St. Jude Hospital.  That’s all I can remember at the moment so please let me know if I’ve forgotten anyone or anything that’s being collected all the time.
·         Sharon S. is still collecting Lego sets for children with cancer at Banner Children’s Hospital and will through December 1st, perhaps longer but for sure by December 1st.
·         Magda would like the new activities committee to consider the Gaslight on Oracle for some outings too.  It is a lovely venue.

8.      Thought of the Day: Sandy P. closed the meeting with a great thought along with a great ending joke.
9.       Adjournment:  Larry L.:  Meeting was adjourned at I forgot to mark it down, sorry.
