Minutes of Meeting for October 26, 2017
- Call to Order: Bill E. called the picnic to order, told a couple cute jokes and then we ate…and ate…and ate 😊
- Hostesses: Barb L. and Susan D. Barb counted 45 folks who came to the picnic!
- Vice President: Debbi S. No report but I think we are up to 119 with John and Sharon S. joining us last week! But Deb will have to make it official!
- Secretary: Kristi G.: Will have to approve October 19 and 26 minutes at November 2 meeting.
- Treasurer: Walt R.: No report.
Let’s try to remember to put our money in the pot for coffee “and”. It’s $2.00 for a cup of coffee which includes all refills; $1.00 for sweets. Thanks much.
- Coordinators’ Reports:
- Sunshine: Dorie Z.: Gladys is doing well with her therapy at Mt. View Health Care Center. June S. left on Friday for Boise with her son and daughter-in-law. “Junie” you will be missed but we are happy for you to start a new chapter in your life with your family.
Sandy is having heart surgery Friday morning and we need to put our prayers to work for a good outcome and speedy recovery for her. We have good Sandy news – after a triple bypass and replacement of her aortic valve, she is doing well! Please continue prayers for all.
- Historian: Magda Q.: No report.
- Philanthropy: John Z.: No report but please give your ideas for our “Christmas giving” to John or Mary M. They will present these to the Board for disposition.
- Hiking: Jim A. and Jorge A.: Jorge A. reminded us that hiking will begin again on November 1st. Meet up at the far east end of the Walgreens parking lot by Point of Grace (Twin Peaks & Coachline) by 8:00 AM on Wednesday mornings. First hike will only be two miles on flat ground.

- Group Concerns/Good of the Group
- Val found a silver, double circle like earring in the corn salad. Whoever lost it, Val has it – the earring, not the corn salad😊
- Walt wants everyone to know that there will be a sign-up sheet for the Christmas party next week. Let’s be sure to do that people. We need to sign-up not just show-up :-)
- Thought of the Day: I’ll just throw this out there – what a beautiful day it was with a whole lot of beautiful people – we are all Blessed to have each other in our lives.
