Minutes of Meeting of August 27, 2015
- Call to Order: Iles : The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance @ 9:30am. Iles had a couple of announcements: Coffee refills are not free but still one dollar each.
Iles introduced Mary Carter, Jennifer Schomburg and Whitney Ravesloot from Northwest Healthcare. Jennifer is the Chief Operation Officer and gave a very informative talk about what is occurring at Northwest as far as improvements and new innovative technology and procedures.
- Host/Hostess: Barb L. and Susan D.: Barb and Susan welcomed back those who have been gone for a while.
- Vice-President: Larry L.: 109 members and 40 attended today.
- Secretary: Jeanne L. (Kristi G. filled in for Jeanne): Minutes of last week were approved and accepted.
- Treasurer: Carol: We have a balance of $2,080.00.
- Coordinators’ Reports:
- Refreshments: Coffee and pastries are still 1.00 each
- Sunshine: Nancy P.: Nothing to report.
- Historian: Magda: No new report.
- Philanthropy: Walt said he was going to wait until he got more food and/or money before making a trip to the Pantry.
- Busybody: Gladys: No new report.
- Activities: Rose M.: a.) signups sheets for activities are available. b.) If any members have suggestions about activities, please let Rose know.
- Group Concerns/Good of the Group: Susan D. asked if anyone knew of a good, trustworthy contractor.
Larry asked for a show of hands of how many enjoyed the presentation and asked if we would be interested in having a presentation like this once a month. He also said that Northwest is putting on a free breakfast presentation in November and would any of us like to attend that. It was definitely the majority that both enjoyed the talk today, want more of them, and also want to attend the November breakfast meeting. We will have more on this later.
