Minutes of Meeting of April 4,

Call
to Order: Lou M.: The meeting was called to order at 9:31 AM with the Pledge of Allegiance.
2.
Host/Hostess: Barbara
L. and Elaine B.: We had one guest, Yvone C. she is renewing her membership.

We have 85 members.

Secretary:
Joyce: 47 members attended today. SCRCR minutes of March 28 ,2013 were approved and
accepted.

Treasurer:
Carol: Treasury Total $1460.00.

Reports:
a.
Refreshments:
The coffee was paid for from the donation basket. Some members also enjoyed
a special coffee or tea. If there is a pastry that you would like, let the
staff know and they will order it.
b. Sunshine: Tressie S: Members gave us an update on
several members: Barbara H. No has spoken to her recently. Don B .He is holding
his own. Don V. He is continuing with his chemo. Joan M. She was hit by a
walker causing her to fall and break her pelvis. She is in rehab at Mountain
View . Edna Mc.
She is doing better. Carol A. Tests have shown her heart to be in good
shape. Bo. He is depressed but doing better. Continue to keep them in your
thoughts and prayers.
c. Historian: Magda: She showed us a huge box of can tops
that have been collected for the Ronald McDonald House. Donna ST.J. contributed a large number from her travels.
d. Philanthropy: Any donations made to the food bank between
3-1 and 3-30 will be matched by the Feinstein Foundation. Jim delivered 30lbs.
of food and $342.00 to the food bank. The Military donation jar is back and it
is not too early to start collecting supplies for the Christmas boxes. Jim and
Linda are hosting a wrapping party at their house on April 20th at 10:00AM . Suggestions are : socks, Shaving
cream, handi-wipes and baggies of toilet paper. If you have an address for a
relative or friend, please get it to Jim, so that a box can be sent directly to
them.

Activities Alice B. Please see the upcoming events in the agenda
for changes and details.

Group Concerns/Good of the Group: Val & Rich R. invited everyone to a BBQ at
their house on April 23, 2013 at 5:00 PM. Joan T. invited the ladies to a
“Night Out” at her house on April 12, 2013. If anyone needs a bath chair for
the shower, contact Joyce G.
